About
NovaForge started as a group chat where a few of us kept sending each other screenshots of mobile games at odd hours. At some point the notes got long enough that a proper site made more sense than another wall of messages. So here we are, writing about the games we can't stop poking at on the bus, in queues, and late at night.
We focus on RPGs and adventure titles because that's where mobile hardware has quietly gotten good. Deep skill trees, branching stories, worlds you can actually get lost in — that used to be console territory. Now a lot of it fits in your pocket, and we want to help you find the ones that respect your time.
Games get picked for review the boring, honest way: someone on the team installs it, plays for at least several sessions across a few days, and only then do we write. If a game bores us after an hour, we say that too. Nobody hands us a list of titles to praise.
The team is small and opinionated. We argue about ratings in the shared doc, and sometimes the final score is a compromise nobody fully likes. That tension is kind of the point — it keeps us honest.
Mikael Rautio — Mikael has been chasing mobile RPGs since the days of tiny screens and dodgy touch controls. He handles most of the long-form reviews and refuses to rate a game he hasn't finished at least once.
